Safer Greener Streets Fair

SGSFMake Queens Safer’s Safer Greener Streets Fair was held on September 13, 2014 at Staunton Field and the 78th Street Play Street in Jackson Heights, Queens

The program was anchored by one of New York City’s popular Bike Bonanzas, which featured:

  • A bike helmet giveaway, courtesy of NYCDOT, which fitted and gave away 723 helmets to adults and children
  • A kids’ bike swap, organized by Recycle-A-Bicycle, and
  • Learn to ride lessons, led by Bike New York with help from Citibike and others
